How to disable "download" from right click on Imag

04 Jan 2009, 18:56

I have looked around in the Admin V2 page and could not find any place where I can disable "download" from the popup menu when someone rightclicks on an Image.
Could someone help me with this?
Thanks.

Rightclick options can be set in admin:
Config, controls, rightclick, controls. Select the options you want.

Right click controls

05 Jan 2009, 11:05

I have done it but I do not see the capability of disabling it.
Even if I uncheck "keycontrols" you can still right click on the image and download it. Is there something else I am missing here?
Thanks for the reply.

Did you remove the "download" item from config.controls.rightclick? It should not be in the right-click menu, if you have done so ...

Right click

08 Jan 2009, 00:50

Within Admin page, I go to Config->Controls-> Rightclick.

Below which is Controls and a box with the different parameters listed, Have tried to delete the "download" parameter within it but cannot delete it. Is there somewhere else where I have to do it?

Thanks.

Did you press the CTRL-button, while deselecting the download parameter?

I have tried with the CTRL key, no success. Do I need a commercial license?
Still can right click on image and download.

Strange...when I open your configUser.xml file is see that the download options is still enabled: http://fdekker.us/imagevue/config/configUser.xml

Does it work when you select one other rightclick option, e.g. sfx?
Do I need a commercial license?
No it should be working always.

Are you talking about HTML gallery? You will still be able to download image from html gallery when you disable it in config.

Best you can do:
1. Disable html gallery: Config > Settings > [_] Enable HTML should be checked off
2. Disable SWFAdress: Config > Settings > [_] useswfaccess should be checked off
3. Disable Download on rightclick: Controls > Rightclick - download should be deselected (use Ctrl-Click)
4. Disable Send link: Controls > Maincontrols and Rightclick - in both select fields.
5. Repeat 3 and 4 plus turn off Coplylink in: Image > Image > Imagebuttons

Hope everything got in the list...

This way users will be able to see only images in flash without being able to download or send them. But as we tried to explain many times its not secure and just a cosmetic measure.

Go to admin -> config -> image.imagebuttons.buttons ... just deselect the "download" item ...
