Sorry about that some caching issue on our site, you can try download again. This fixes:
 • Fatal error: Exception thrown without a stack frame in Unknown on line 0
 • Edit languages bug
 • UseImageFolder issue with audioplayer

But I'm having no luck with manually sorting images.
Follow-up:
Oddly, some folders keep the manual sorting, and some don't. For instance, 'Cuba' retains my manual sorting, but 'Italy-France' does not...

Re: Imagevue X2.5 Beta Release

Morning!

Downloaded and installed the most recent 2.5b this morning.

Problems I've identified thus far:
1. Theme Stylesheet doesn't retain changes.
2. Diagnostics show "Open dir" is enabled, but according to host, it's disabled on account.
3. Only 1 thumb on each page shows in 'unprotected' folders (though all thumbs show fine on 'protected' folders.)

Thanks for your feedback, Christopher.

I can only comment on #1, and Nick will have to look into the two others:

#1 - What theme are you using? Or maybe I should ask: What theme did you loose your Stylesheet changes with? In Imagevue X2.5 (and even the earlier version), you cannot edit native Imagevue themes. You may have edited a native Imagevue theme from an earlier version? If so, I recommend you FIRST "create new from this" from the theme you are using, and then you have a custom theme, which is basically a copy of the Imagevue native theme.

Now, when you upgrade, it will overwrite ALL native Imagevue themes, but NOT your custom themes (so changes will be retained). The only other explanation why CSS may not be retained, is if you have special FTP settings that basically deletes a folder before uploading the new version.

Also, you may wanna read my post here:

I chose to "create new" from an existing theme, and then edit it accordingly. This seems to
be in keeping with what you outlined, yes?

Fix is coming.
2. Diagnostics show "Open dir" is enabled, but according to host, it's disabled on account
Open_basedir is actually enabled on your account. Compare this:
open_basedir no value
to yours:
open_basedir /tmp:/hsphere/local/home:/hsphere/shared/apache/libexec/php5ext/php:/hsphere/shared/php5

But this might have no significance. As I mentioned in PM if you can upload/move/copy files - just disregard that.
3. Only 1 thumb on each page shows in 'unprotected' folders (though all thumbs show fine on 'protected' folders.)
This looks like a bug in flash gallery which we're going to investigate.

Thank you for reporting.

Rockin,

Thanks for the help and clarifications guys. Sometimes it's hard to know what's a bug
and what's simply user error ;-)

Just uploaded new update. What's new:
 • Fixed: Non-editable theme css
 • Fixed: Non-sortable images (was caused by double-dot in filenames)
 • Fixed: Incorrect Max Thumbnail Size
 • Fixed: Incorrect File Count for folders
 • Some small cosmetic changes

Downloaded and installed newest version.

It appears all things were fixed (that I've noticed to date) except:

If you re-create thumbnails then view them in the gallery afterwards, only the
first thumbnail will show. If you then delete the images, then re-upload, they
will all show again.

Hope this helps!

I think this was caused by a bug with thumbnail image size, try to upload new image into those folders, this will update cache with proper values. Or recreate thumbnails.

Re: mp3 doesn't play, but it's icon shows up as an image...
I'm not sure if this is partially redundant to a previous post, but I'm having 2 .mp3 issues with 2.5:

1) The audio player doesn't play -- the little wheel keeps spinning, but never starts. None of my /content/ changed, including the mp3's. I re-uploaded a couple just in case, but no dice.

2) The .mp3 files in my content/(gallery) folders show up as icons, both in the slideshow, and in the thumbnails. How do I get rid of this??

I checked, and my audioplayer settings are still correct -- useimagefolder is true.

Thanks!
Just curious if you have any thoughts on this yet... I still have no music on the site anymore, and all my mp3s are showing up in my image galleries...

UPDATE:
Just installed the new 2.5 -- .mp3 problems appear to be solved -- thanks!

Could you please post a link to a gallery mentioned? I checked a couple on your site, there is no music but no mp3 shown in file list.

Are you sure you did update your gallery with the latest files?

Just checked on our server. Images:

Hi Nick, thanks -- I didn't realize that a new 2.5 version had been posted -- problem is resolved!

Do you guys send out any kind of email blast to notify users of new versions? I've missed many updates because I don't frequent the forums to check up...
Thanks for this new version -- the manual sorting especially is fabulous.

We WILL be sending out e-mails shortly for all major releases (like this one). However, we are still in X2.5 BETA mode. Once we release X2.5 FINAL, hopefully within a weeks time, we will send an e-mail.

Until then, we are updating the BETA archives once in a while, basically to address bugs that you beta-testers are so helpful in finding for us.
