Main Page loading

23 Jul 2010, 08:02

Hi,

I have a gallery with +/- 100 pictures (first picture is 400ko) , and < 2.5Mo mp3
When I load the page I have the middle page round little animation showing that page is loading ... then upside menu appears (round loading animation disapear) and then "nothing".... during 4 to 7 second before having the first picture display and musique starting.

I have no problem to wait, but I will really appreciate if a loading bar can be displayed ? I'm sure poeple visiting the gallery think this is broken and live the gallery area ...

Here is my URL, please remove the space " " after word photo when you copy/paste.

Is there a tip for that ?
Thanks.

I have compressed the MP3 from 2.3Mo to 400Ko ... this is really better.
But I continue to think that a global loading bar should be a good thing.

:)

I checked your site right now, and it didn't load at all ... ok there may be many reasons for that.

I am not quite sure what this problem is though - If you go to our demo site https://www.photo.gallery/soda, you will see it shows a loading animation before the menu loads, and THEN it shows a loading bar for loading the main start image ... What filemod are you using for startpage?

I tried your link again, and now it loaded ... There was no problem here - First it displays the circular loader for the main menu, and then it displays a progress bar for the first image that loads. There was no delay, although here the music didnt load probably because connection speed (Imagevue disables audio if the connection is too slow).
