Hmm that seems like permissions lacking, can you edit descriptions, create thumbnails in dirs?

PM url and login/pass to admin so we can check if nothing helps.

Sorry I thought you tried on previous version, have to investigate it further, could you also PM your ftp login/pass. Seems like something server-specific. Diag page shows nothing suspicious either.

If somebody could PM ftp login/pass that might help with tracking the bug, thanks.

Unfortunately it's swfupload bug and whats even worse there is no fix so far, and what's even worse, there is no stable solution for Flash Player 10.

Right now you can either disable [x] SWF upload in config>settings or use ftp if you having troubles with uploader.

We just updated SWFUpload to latest stable version, which does not work with Flash Player 10 anyway, there is next beta in the works which promises F10 support, hope they will release it soon.

We also tried fancyUpload, but its not working with F10 too, and actually too buggy.

i did update with the latest version from 11/20
the upload button is white without any text or graphic on it.
by clicking upload the browser now works and i can select the files.
unfortunatly i get this error message:

Error [IOErrorEvent type="ioError" bubbles=false cancelable=false eventPhase=2 text="Error #2038"

thanks for your help!

EDIT: it seems the problem is only when uploading a mp3 on a hidden folder.
with pictures seems to work fine.

Hi,

i have the same error as laurent:
Code
Error [IOErrorEvent type="ioError" bubbles=false cancelable=false eventPhase=2 text="Error #2038"]
this actually hits some entries in google, of which the top result is:
http://www.romantika.name/v2/flash-uploader-error/

so obviously i need to consider how to make the webhosting company disable ModSecure because swfupload is not working either :)

[IOErrorEvent type="ioError" bubbles=false cancela

actually,

it might be useful for you as developers to dive into as well. seems like loads of webhosting companiers are using this modsecurity.

please try and define required changes for this modsecurity to allow the new upload function, so that we as users can easily instruct our webhosters (or ourselves) what to do.

I replied you in PM, rule of the thumb - disable mod_security, it wont help much and is unofficial mod anyway.

If you can't get your hands on apache config try adding .htaccess in gallery root with:

SecFilterEngine Off

Also there is like half zillion options so if anybody want to spend some quality time with configs, try to switch them on and off, that might come in handy.

For now I would say that mod_security is half- or not-compatible with any Flash uploader.
