Hi all,

As far as I have seen there is currently no option to rename an uploaded image file, is it?

Kindly ask to think about adding this enhancement into future release planings.
What is your opinion on this?

running on: X3.31.1 version

There are additional options when you hover over an image, renaming is one of them:

As noted by @metallissimus, it is possible to rename files.

Keep in mind, if you are renaming files for the sake of display, you could instead add TITLE to image. Titles, when populated, will replace the filename when displaying in the gallery.
