Hi Karl!
My hosting does not allow to create the database automatically. I must first create a database in the hosting control panel. After that add the username, password, and server address DB MySQL in the Settings panel X3. X3 itself creates the database - is not possible.
What to do?

Sorry, the DB setup is not explained very well yet.
1. Create the database in your hosting cPanel.
2. Login to X3 admin panel, select "use DB" and add DB details.
(You will automatically be logged out after this).
3. Proceed to yourwebsite.com/panel/install/ to install the DB app.
4. After installed, you can proceed to login to your panel with DB login.
I believe #3 is not documented properly from us yet. Next release has better diagnostics for DB version of panel.

Now everything is working.
However, the settings panel at yourwebsite.com/panel/install/ still available. Does this mean that anyone is free to register your own user?
How can I disable this option?

You should DELETE the /install/ folder after you have completed the process. They won't be able to create users from the /install/ page, but it should still be deleted.ringo71 wrote:Now everything is working.
