how can I best upgrade to 1.7

04 Oct 2006, 17:47

is there a special upgrade procedure for 1.7? Or can I use the "old" one from 1.6?
And how can I implement the slideshow feature like the first demo of the "gallery demo's"?

"Old" what?

The best way to upgrade is to just overwrite everything except content/ dir, I think. Or maybe if you changed some config settings you might want to save your old config first...

ok, then I did the right thing. As you are an expert, how can I then get the pictures in the "slide show" mode full frame by just clicking on the pictures. This is not executed automaticly by upgrading to 1.7

It should be executed correctly if you have updated and overwritten all files. The only files you need to keep is your current /content/ folder where you store your images. If you cant get it working, please provide your gallery link.

Thats not Imagevue17 - Its an earlier version of Imagevue16.2 with the sitemenu module. It seems you might have downloaded Imagevue files from the links for the SITEMENU module which was in the documentation earlier on.

Sitemenu is allready integrated with Imagevue17, so please use a clean setup from the Imagevue17 download files, and fully disregard the sitemenu update files - They were only for earlier version of Imagevue16.

You will need to download the full latest release of Imagevue, and upload new files, and overwrite the others. You can keep your contentfolder with pictures.
