Hello, I think it would be a great feature to allow visitors to write some comments about the image they view, just like in a blog, for example. A captcha system to avoid spammers... and maybe a notification such that the admin of the gallery receive an email each time a comment is posted. Of course...

Yes, it would be great... But I think that it would be useful to let the user choose the depth of the counter : gallery, folders, or images. In my own opinion, renaming the files themselves is not interesting. You can do this on your computer before uploading them if you want. But I think that it would be useful to change all titles and descriptions of selected pictures at once... For instance, It would be fantastic to set titles of 50 p...
