(takes 30 secs to load and then its ready ) ... so that is'nt too bad I guess.

Needs to be somewhat database driven ... so I guess it's a no.
Would love a bridge to the most common bulletin boards/forum software though but it isn't the core thing Imagevuex is focussed on.

IIRC in htaccess you can use
DirectoryIndex followed by which to open first.

Example:
DirectoryIndex index.php index.html index.htm

If you have access to it you can do it yourself.
Otherwise take Pain's advice and contact your host.

They only need to change the notation on the page.
