Re: Imagevue X2.8 Mobile Gallery Beta

One observation: If you have files in your root content folder, you can't access them directly by putting their address into the browser. You can load them by clicking in the gallery but you can't link to them from outside. Instead, you just get a blank screen apart from the menu items. Technically...

Re: Imagevue X2.8 Mobile Gallery Beta

- I don't necessarily accept that it should be less secure having files in the root folder.
- It's the only way of making the flash and HTML file structures work the same and show the same content when you go into each.
- Addressing root files by URL worked fine on the 2.7 versions.

Re: Imagevue X2.8 Mobile Gallery Beta

>>> It's because your login and password are default (admin/admin). - Explained! - thanks for that. One other thing that I've noticed since 2.7 is that when you downsize a large PNG file to display in the gallery, it does a nearest-neighbour resize, leaving it looking jagged. With JPEGs it does a sm...

Re: Imagevue X2.8 Mobile Gallery Beta

Tested out the latest version. The new themes are great. I also had no trouble moving files between folders. I was still missing the ability to set content/ as the start folder. My admin link at the top-right corner of the gallery is kinda garbled too. - It comes up with this: "/iv-admin/ » Imagevue...

Re: Imagevue X2.8 Mobile Gallery Beta

Just a big link at the start of the thread would have done. I got myself up and running by restoring my backup, installing 2.8 over it and installing the Powerpack over that. Not sure why it wasn't happy first time around. Got a bit of a problem with the new version though... Originally, I had my ga...

Re: Imagevue X2.8 Mobile Gallery Beta

This may seem like a stupid question but where can I download this 2.8 beta version and be sure of getting the most recent edition of it?
I found a link earlier in this discussion but I get the feeling that I may have installed the wrong software onto my site.

Re: Imagevue X2.8 Mobile Gallery Beta

Having a bit of difficulty... I uploaded the new beta over my original 2.7 gallery. It loads in HTML but not in Flash. The wheel just keeps spinning nomatter what page you try. I had the powerpack installed but I'm not sure if that makes a difference. Can it be fixed or should I just restore from ba...

Re: New HTML Gallery suggestions please!

Not sure I really mind about the HTML mode's layout and appearance.
I think one of the most important things is that Google be able to index the images and display them in its image search.

I'm sure you're working hard towards the next release and I look forward to seeing the result.

Only found that later on.

Having a bit of trouble with PowerPack

I seem to have installed this wrong maybe. I updated to 2.7.6.2 firstly. Then I installed PowerPack, which all went well. But when I load the gallery in Flash, the music player doesn't fit flush with the new buttons at the top-right. It kinda overlaps it, making the new buttons difficult to click. I...

Re: PHISHING

So, presumably, this was an old version of imagevue?
Why not just keep them updated. Every online gallery/cms gets hacked from time to time.

Re: Long descriptions disappear

Sure, I remember in recent versions of X2 you had two nice little arrows to scroll up and down in a description box where the content overflowed. I remember that because I was surprised when I found it. I think I basically fixed it by making it display at the side of the image. I just liked having i...

Long descriptions disappear

Hi guys, I wondered if you could take a quick look into how long descriptions disappear if there isn't enough space to show them around the image. Basically the entire Text1 panel doesn't show (ie the title and description). I seem to remember that it showed some nice little arrows to scroll the des...

Re: Problem with Video Thumbnail Showing

Wow, pretty sweet that imagevue instinctively shows the only file in the folder but I suppose our man might want to have people see the whole folder description first or whatever.
