filter input debounce

Hi, thanks a ton for the files app. I'm using it in my intranet to make my file server more enjoyable to browse. I noticed that the search on the top left does this "search as you type" thing. In a folder with many files, this can be pretty slow. I have a folder with 6000 files. If I search for "ale...

Re: v0.22.3: Panel Tree "custom" menu behavior / sorting issue

Hi,

Okay, what you write makes total sense. I will give them a number and use the "hide from menu" checkbox.
Thank you for the prompt response (as always)!

Best Regards,
Stefan

v0.22.3: Panel Tree "custom" menu behavior / sorting issue

Hello, I have noticed an issue in the panel. 1. The "custom" folder should be the last entry, right? 2. The folders below the "custom" folder behaves odd. In the attached screenshot. - Folder "customers" behaves like "custom", does now allow delete / rename etc and has this yellow banner: " This fol...

Re: Color space problems...

I know all this, except one thing... and this is the key information: "Convert images to the sRGB profile, but don't embed it " But you are wrong with the browsers. Read my post(s) again. In this case, IE is the only browser that is doing it right. Chrome and Firefox are wrong in this case. Look at ...

Re: Color space problems...

Did you try different browsers in Windows? Also Chrome? I would have through the issue to be browser-related ... Yes, it is browser related. Windows 7 -> MS IE: OK Windows 7 -> Chrome: NOT OK Windows 7 -> Firefox: NOT OK (after enabling the color management support in about:config: OK) OSX -> Safar...

Re: Color space problems...

I've just checked my gallery again. On the Mac, everything looks just fine in all Browsers (Chrome/Firefox/Safari). So the issue is windows specific.

Re: Color space problems...

Okay, this is indeed the issue! I was able to fix it in Firefox by making the following changes in "about:config": gfx.color_management.enablev4 = true # default is false gfx.color_management.mode = 1 # default is 2 Now the images are displayed correctly. Now I need to figure out how to export image...

Re: Color space problems...

(I added another post with screenshots while you were writing. Did you see this one?) I meanwhile think the problem is on my side, not on the X3 side. I don't understand it yet. But I will try different export options to find one that works consistently in different applications. I know effects like...

Re: Color space problems...

Usually I export a web-version, which is 2048x2048 max in width and height. Facebook plays best with that. In imagevue I did *not* use the upload resizer. One further thing I noticed is that portrait size images are handled differently. Lets use these two images: https://www.stefanhagen-fotografie.d...

Color space problems...

Hello, I run a gallery here: https://www.stefanhagen-fotografie.de In the thumbnail view, everything looks alright. When you click on a picture it often gets desaturated. The color is noticeably different than in the thumbnail. I have tracked this down to the following conditions: * It happens in Ch...

Re: Optimizing images

Hello, I'm also using jpegmini. There is also a server integration that can be run frequently to process also the files created by other applications. It's expensive, though. @Mjau-mjau: jpegMINI is NOT lossless. It really compresses the files by factors between 1.4 up to 4 (for my images) compared ...

Re: Lightbox

Thank you very much! It's not difficult to avoid clicking an image... It kind of is, when you try to "drag" the slider into the next place instead of pushing the buttons (especially on touch based devices). This is definitely a corner case. And yes I like the vertical gallery exactly for the possibi...

Re: Rewrite rules for the lighttpd webserver

I am curious, is this your own server? And if so, is this also your server for live production websites? Yes, this is my personal server. I use it mostly for playing around and I host a couple of websites for friends. Nothing critical, really. Your home page should always be / ... Yes, this is the ...

Re: Lightbox

Actually I figured that entering a "#" and selecting _self as target works. It disables the lightbox. But it's not a perfect solution. - First click on an image: Page scrolls to top (adds # to the end of the url) - Second click on an image: Page reloads - Third and every further click: The click is ...
