Re: Problem with google indexing

Hi, My new gallery umbraldreams.com went live three days ago and yesterday morning I received the same message from search console that Dane mentioned four years ago. I created an image sitemap because I want Google to index all my 1000+ images. But search console reports that 1000+ entries (which a...

Re: XML Sitemap to include photo landing pages - possible?

Another question arises: Google sitemaps already has a specific method for adding "images" to sitemaps: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/178636 Hm, well, if we could have images directly in the sitemap, not the landing page, but including <image:title> and <image:caption> from the infor...

Re: XML Sitemap to include photo landing pages - possible?

I may look into it, although it could create excessively large XML files. From what I read, that's not a problem if the XML remains below 10 MB file size (used to be 5 MB until recently) and below 50,000 entries. I think mine has a little over 1,000 images at the moment, so no problem there. :) Als...

XML Sitemap to include photo landing pages - possible?

Hi, sorry, it's me again, I stumbled upon yet another question: I love it that Imagevue generates an XML sitemap, but it only includes the menu structure, not each individual landing page for each image. Would it be possible to have the sitemap include every single landing page for each photograph? ...

Re: Markdown for Link Targets?

You will simply need to use HTML where markdown does not suffice. *facepalm* Geez, I'm an idiot. :D When I clicked the link button in the toolbar and it added the markdown, I assumed that was what I had to use - I didn't even try to use normal html. :D Jepp, that fixed it, thanks! By the way, since...

Markdown for Link Targets?

Hi, It's me again, sorry. :) I created a start page in Imagevue X3 which has text on it that includes a link. The Syntax for having links in the text page is [linktext](linkurl) which is github flavored markdown, right? The problem I have, is that the link automatically opens in a new tab and I don'...

Re: Image landing page layout looks broken

Alrighty, I found the culprit! :) I renamed the user config as you suggested and the problem went away, so I recreated my old settings from scratch and the problem was still gone. So I compared my new user config with my old backup to see if there's any difference, and there was: Settings > Page > F...

Re: Image landing page layout looks broken

Hi Karl,

I did that, and it looks like it helped. I will now step by step recreate my original configuration and see at what point it breaks - if it does not break again, that's great, if it does, then we probably can narrow down the problem. :)

Thanks!

Re: Image landing page layout looks broken

Hi Karl, Thanks in advance for your time and help - I'll send you login details via private message. I've looked through everything thouroughly once more today but could not find the source of the problem. Somehow one of the Javascripts of Imagevue seems to be adding element styles to the image, clo...

Image landing page layout looks broken

Hi, when I open an image on its landing page (not using popup), the layout looks broken: Firefox Screenhot: http://thinkingpixels.com/downloads/screen_ff.jpg Chrome Screenhot: http://thinkingpixels.com/downloads/screen_ch.jpg The caption/description is cut off in Firefox and completely invisible in ...

Re: Wrong og:image when sharing deeplinked images on Faceboo

Hm... The thing is, I would really prefer not to have a share button in my gallery for legal reasons - I don't mind people sharing my images for private use on Facebook or whatever, but I have a problem with people stealing and using my imagery commercially. So when someone steals my image and uses ...

Re: Wrong og:image when sharing deeplinked images on Faceboo

I'm copying the link from the browser address bar, like this one:
http://gallery.thinkingpixels.com/Peopl ... e-img-1162
I would like the og:image to be the same than the one this link leads to - Facebook is fetching the album preview image instead.

Wrong og:image when sharing deeplinked images on Facebook

Hi, when I share a deeplink to an image in my gallery on Facebook, the og:image, that is being fetched, is always the album preview, not the actual image I'm linking to. How can I fix this, so that when somebody shares a link to one of my images, Facebook fetches the actual image as og:image? Cheers...
