Before you do anything else, you should get your Imagevue Gallery up and running by following the basic procedure below:
- Upload files
- Upload Images into folders
- Set permissions
1. Upload files
First step is to unpack the downloaded
Imagevue.zip, and locate the folder called
upload/. Simply upload this folder to your website, and this will be your main gallery directory. The default gallery comes with a few images - Check your gallery links:
- yoursite.com/upload/
- yoursite.com/upload/slideshow.php
- yoursite.com/upload/admin/
2. Upload images into folders
Now You can rename your groupfolders and imagefolders to reflect your categories
of images. Upload your images into your imagefolders.
3. Set permissions
In order for imagevue to be able to save thumbnails and descriptions to your
server, permissions need to be set to your imagefolders. In technical terms, this
method is called CHMOD, and you can read up on how to do it by clicking the link
below.
