Hallo,
for design reasons I would like to move the main flash gallery off center (down and right by about 15-20%) are there any solutions for this? I would love the gallery to be centered in the dark grey area... http://www.justwhitewalls.com thanks |

As far as I know Imagevue centers the thumbnails and images in the center of the screen. There are no settings that can change that.... _________________ ![]() |

I know there are no settings via the admin
but there must be a parameter in the code telling the gallery to be positioned at 1/2 of screen width and 1/2 of screen height or not??? but where would i find that??? |

I understand why you would want this, but there is in fact no setting for this as Imagevue centers images and thumbnails based on margins and content area. It would be a bit complicated if it was to also move in one direction still taking into consideration these settings.
Personally, I am on a 13" macbook, and I wouldn't appreciate it if the image was moved away from the center of my screen. This is a screenshot from how I see it now: I think it would not be comfortable if the image was further moved down and right. I was about to suggest a few workaround, but I figured out they are just bad suggestions with adverse effects. We can check for next major release if we can add some offset settings, although I am not quite sure if this will cause a lot of complications. _________________ Karl / mjau-mjau ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() www.imagevuex.com www.mjau-mjau.com www.photogallerylinks.com |

Ok, I stick with the centered version for now.
But one more question, your screenshot is a chrome browser window or? why do both safari and firefox the menuback and the vertical bar on the background perfectly aligned (as intended in my layout), but in chrome the menuback is to wide??? |

But one more question, your screenshot is a chrome browser window or? why do both safari and firefox the menuback and the vertical bar on the background perfectly aligned (as intended in my layout), but in chrome the menuback is to wide??? This is chrome on Mac ... This has a logical explanation, because different platforms (mac/win) render fonts differently, and in some cases they even show different fonts. This means the width of the menu may vary, depending on the platform/browser and the font in use ... How can you work around this? First of all, you would need to make sure that your background vertical line graphic could contain the entire menu on all platforms with some margin (either by decreasing font size, or increasing the with of that vertical bar). Then, you can go to admin -> themes -> edit your theme -> menu.mainmenu.menuitem.minimum_width ... and set this to the same width as that vertical line. This means the menu will force itself to be this wide ... _________________ Karl / mjau-mjau ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() www.imagevuex.com www.mjau-mjau.com www.photogallerylinks.com |
