Zoom in mobile version

When zooming out image in mobile version it seems to zoom out to thumbnail size. It would be great if it can be max and min zoom, at least zoomout to original size.

What do you mean "zoom out to thumbnail size"? You mean you want it to not be possible to zoom it out that far? Unfortunately, for mobile, it uses native gestures and functions to scale an embedded image with touch. It is not part of Imagevue, but simply a part of the OS UI to pinch in/out an image. We can prevent this, but we cant limit it.

Yes I mean when you pinch zoom out to prevent it from zooming out so far.

As mentioned, we can disable pinch altogether, but we cannot control it. If its enabled, visitor will be able to pinch in/out as the device browser allows.

Sorry I must have misunderstood you, i thought you meant that it is possible to prevent it from zooming out so far.
I have seen it work in other galleries (not imagevue) but another one. Is it possible it is targeting the thumbnail, not the image?

I would like to see this in action with other galleries if you have any links. What do you mean "target the thumbnail"? If you are to pinch a thumbnail, it would only get grainy and un-viewable anyway, and besides it would not help the user interface ... I don't see why you would want pinch on a thumbnail but not on the main larger image.

No thats not what I mean, what I'm refering to is, when you zoom out the image it zooms out to thumbnail size. Which is too much.

Ok, well as I mentioned a few times, the gesture which allows zooming in and out by pinch is part of the OS that we can't control. We can only disable it entirely.

OK, can I change this myself? If yes, where?

I really think this is not coming through for some reason. I tried to explain from the first post that this is not possible ... If it was possible to change and I could explain you how to do it, don't you think I would have told you so? You told me you had seen this possible in other galleries, yet I did not see any links. Let me explain in depth:

# Pinch zoom (in/out) is NOT part of Imagevue. Instead, it is part of the native mobile OS, inherited upon the browser.

# Since it is not part of Imagevue, we cannot control it in any way from Imagevue either.

# There is a javascript setting to prevent pinch zooming altogether, but there is no more control over the zoom levels.

Even when making a true native OS application, this would be complicated (although possible). Not possible by javascript in the browser though.

You said it can be disabled altogether, that's what I'm asking now.

Yes, there would be a setting for this, but are we speaking of the Photo swipe viewing mode here? In fact, zoom was disabled initially for this, but many users requested the zoom feature so we had to add it.

I think it is ok to leave as is. This is not that much of a deal to do big things to fix. I'm actually looking forward to the new html version :D , so I don't want to put too much time on this, is there any new news about the html version? Have you started that process yet?
