How to create custom thumbs for known filetypes?

Dear all:

I wanted to replace the existing thumbs for known filetypes (e.g. .doc/.xls/.ppt/.pdf/...etc.) with my custom thumbs files. Had found and replaced the existing thumbs jpg files inside the "/in-includes/images/thumbs" folder. However, that didn't seem to take my new thumbs into effect at all, even though I had also refreshed my system cache, too. Did I miss anything or what else needed to done as well? Many thanks for your kind advice in advance.

Do you have a link to your website? I would just like to see why its not using the graphics you replaced. Obviously it uses the graphics from somewhere, so I would like to see what might have been done wrong ...

Dear Karl:

I just got that issue sorted out. For some reason, the existing files wouldn't associate my newly uploaded thumbs as their file types images. I simply re-uploaded all files and that took care of the problem I mentioned earlier. Thank you still for quickly offering your helpful hands!! :D
