"copy" image not working anymore

This feature has always worked for me prior. But now if I select an image and try to "copy" it to another folder.
It only "moves" it. I've tried over and over from various folders.. Same result.
It just refuses to "copy".

Any ideas what would do this?

Sorry there was a bug in 2.7, just update your gallery to the latest version. (Upload iv-admin and iv-include folders)

Do we get email newsletters for when updates and other new features are released?

I never got anything. Seems like we should be getting notifications about updates somehow.

I have have countless programs that I use,,,, adobe, microsoft, nik, google, etc etc etc... dozens upon dozens.
None of them require me to manually go check for updates.

There is no reason ImageVuex should not keep it's customers up to date via email newsletter or directly through the software with a simple cleawr popup when it's time to change versions.

We are shortly going to start sending out newsletters, but we need to prepare our infrastructure in this area first, because many people don't like receiving e-mails.

Therefore we also have "passive" sources methods for staying updated:
Twitter: http://twitter.com/#!/imagevue (follow)
Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/imagevue (like)
Blog: https://www.photo.gallery/blog/ (All major releases are posted here, and you can also subscribe to the RSS)
Forum: https://forum.photo.gallery (We mention all updates, and you can "subscribe" to topics and receive e-mails when they are updated)

Also, did you check the "Dashboard" in your admin? Go to admin, and at the bottom of the page, click "Dashboard" - You will see updates.

No,, I was not even aware of this Dashboard. Possibly that link should be part of the main navigation. Since it was just part of other "outside" text links at the bottom,, I never gave it a second look.

However I still see no notice of the 2.7.3 release.

For updates I think just a popup box notice within the app. (like used in adobe and others) would be nice. Can't miss it that way.

This is sitting in our Ideas list for a while now but there is always something else which needs attention first. But we're going to integrate it in the next major release or two.

I don't disagree with you, but comparing Imagevue to a company that has 1000 developers or more working on desktop apps is a bit misleading. Imagevue is a web-app, and we dont have the technology to update cross-server, and many users see it as a breach of privacy if we were able to pop messages into their admin. The X2.7.X sub-releases are mainly for smaller bugs that need to be fixed for certain settings scenarios.

We do value your feedback, and are always looking for improvements!

I was just making suggestions. I have tons of "small fry" plugins that do the same thing,,, and those just come from a one or two man show. So I figured it couldn't be too hard.. Maybe I'm wrong.

I would still be plenty happy with just an email letting me know that an update has occurred. My basic point is. We should not have to actively search for updates, especially when the updates are bug fixes (which was what started this whole conversation).
