EXIF missing using upload tool

Hi guys.
Im not sure if its a bug or just not there?
When using the galleries upload fewture, its delete the pictures EXIF data
Will it be possible in the fewture?

If you resize images using uploader it will strip Exif data. If you want to preserve them - resize images before upload.

Yes I know, but why not replace it with a resize tool that keep the EXIF data?

Im not a big coder
But coppermine does have a uploader inside that keep exif data.
Maybe you can get an idea from there?
