Possible to force image or folder to full resolution?

20 Oct 2010, 05:45

Sorry if this has been asked before, searching forums after 10 minutes didn't yield
what I was looking for.

Question: Is it possible to force a specific image or all the images in a specific folder to full
resolution?
Setup: I'd like to add some panoramics that break the margins and are shown in their native
resolution (larger than the browser window).
Details: I'd don't want all images or folders to act this way, only base it on a specific image
or folder.

UPDATE: I may have inadvertently figured out how to get what I want, but if someone could
take a look at the panoramic at the below link, and let me know if it defaults to larger than your
screen (unless you have a massive multi-monitor setup!) that would be great!

UPDATE 2: I've changed the settings back, so the link below may no longer be relevant.

Thanks for any thoughts!

Hi there ;)

It does not go full screen here.
It goes to stage width I guess.

No clue on how to force full resolution of an image to be honest.
Maybe Karl or Pain can inform us ;)

Chris,

It looks like you made it work. I have panorama's as well and would like you to tell us how you made it go full screen.

Thanks,

Thanks for the replies all,

There are probably other factors I'm forgetting, but here's what I did:

Settings-Image-Image
Margin=75 (not sure if this really effects anything anymore, it's what I started with)
Scale = Original (this is what changed it to work as I wanted)
Original Optimized = Unchecked

Patrick: I believe you may have viewed it as I was trying new settings.

I feel like there should be something else, but that's really it. Hope this helps!

Thank Chris,

The only thing I don't like about this is that it sets this rate for all my pictures. I have a panoramic folder and would like this to be set for just those pictures - not all my pictures. Oh well.

Thanks for sharing this option though,

Yeah,

I'm with you on that. I don't think I'll continue with this option
for the same reason. If you find a work around or an option comes
out, let us know here? I'll do the same.

Thanks!

Sorry for the late arrival in this post. Let me confirm two important aspects:

1. You can do what you are trying to do, apparently as you already did it =)
2. You can NOT set this on a per-folder basis unfortunately. Settings will be global.

Now, #2 here is certainly something we would like to work on, so I have pegged it into my list. However, we need to plan and implement this properly, because basically we would also want to make dozens of additional per-folder settings available also - For example imagemode/thumbnailsmode, autoplay, scalemethod, available buttons etc.

Allow us to look into this ...

Sounds good - no need to hurry, just trying to tweak things up a bit ;-)

Just an update to this -

In a new release coming later this week, there will be a new method for setting folder-specific parameters. Basically, you can override any setting from the config and theme. Read more here:
