Thumbnails

I have uploaded several folders with pictures to my webspace (FTP).
When viewing the gallery I don't see the thumbnails. Do I have to create thumbnails in admin, or are they normaly created automatically?

You need to create thumbnails in the admin, and there are generally 2 reasons for this:
#1 It speeds up the flash gallery to not have to use a PHP middle-end script to get/create thumbnails.
#2 It makes sure the site owner has thumbnails created, and that they aren't simply created on-the-fly for every visitor, which can slow down galleries tremendously(often seen in V1 where users had not set permissions).

I'm having the same problem. I have tried the recreate thumbnails and it just takes me back to the parent folder. ... I've tried using the recreate thumbnails with all images selected and none selected... and with 1 selected, .. still nothing.
I even went as far to create my own thumbnails from scratch giving the proper prefix of tn_ and uploading them manually, .... still nothing.
Any ideas?

Did you set permissions on all your folders?

i'm having the same problem. no thumbnails can be created despite making sure file permissions are set correctly.

Everybody with thumbnails issues, please PM:
1. Description of the issue
2. FTP login/password
3. Imagevue login/password
We trying to investigate, strange that nobody reported anything like that for a while.
