Agree ... It has been focus since day 1 to make sure modern devices with double-density screen resolutions are served the image sources the deserve ... Else what is the point of such evolutions in screen engineering? Of course, it does increase the bandwidth and memory consumption to some degree, but it is worth it.
I really like your usage of the justified layout, with generous space between previews. I see there is some minor bug in the "frame" surrounding the images, as it is applied "double" ... I will look into that! I also like your simplistic approach of just focusing on the content, and even the footer is uncomplicated.
As with others, I am really looking forward to offer a few more skins so we can see your galleries in slight color variations. Next release will have a nice "stylepicker", so you can easily preview your gallery in real-time with several style combinations applied

Btw: If you are partially finished editing your gallery, then why not try to set
preload: true in your settings? It will make the gallery blazing fast to navigate ...
