Image Description not displaying from IPTC Description15 posts

Image Description not displaying from IPTC Description

X3 used to display image description from the value populated into the 'description' field in the panel... and if there was nothing there it would display the value in the description field in IPTC. It appears this is no longer happening. Is this a bug or a feature?

It should not be so ...

Do you have a link to a gallery page where IPTC descriptions are supposed to display?

and where in those images does one find any other text than what X3 is already displaying?

Sorry my fault, I misread the question.

However, I don't see that you have added any manual titles or descriptions to any images in this folder. I need panel login to diagnose ...

Not quite sure what you mean. That image in X3 is clearly displaying the caption you are referring to in your screenshot above: "Mount Sneffels in the distance".

This must be your cache somehow. I could accept the possibility of an issue with layout (javascript/css) if it was just the page layout. But since it's not displaying in the popup either, this kinda proves the source code output you are getting loaded into your browser is different than mine. Didn't you have Cloudflare earlier? Might have instructed your browser to cache these pages for a few hours ...

I checked from https://www.browserling.com (remote browser testing), and works fine there also:

I did try CloudFlare but then turned it off after a while. Don't think I need it.

I will play around and see if I can figure this out. I get the same results from different computers at different locations... and Chrome/Firefox.

Even though I am no longer using CloudFlare's caching... I wonder if there is a hickup in it somewhere. I might switch my DNS servers back to my domain provider and see what happens.

It seems you are using the "preload" option, and forgot to go to tools -> preload ...
