Unfortunately, since imagevue is built to read files in folder, and it not compiled through a database, searching images is a bit harder to integrate.
We will be considering this for a future release, but it will not be "right round the corner" ... _________________ Karl / mjau-mjau ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() www.imagevuex.com www.mjau-mjau.com www.photogallerylinks.com |

Sorry, no. The timeline for this will be further into the future, unfortunately.
We are soon to release version 2.7, then we will be looking into 2.8 for the summer, which will contain new platform dedicated version (html/ipad/iphone etc). Search may only come up on the radar after this ... _________________ Karl / mjau-mjau ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() www.imagevuex.com www.mjau-mjau.com www.photogallerylinks.com |

Hmmm... "search engine" would be realy cool feature! But, unfortunately nothing more than cool...
Just another feature that will not be used and in fact - will make gallery much slower, heavier and unclear for the viewer (just some of my thoughts there...). Girasol, do you have some examples how could this looks like? Perhaps this would be indeed cool. _________________ Gallery PowerPack™ Demo PowerPack™ Download Help improve PowerPack - Test and report bugs. Regards, Artur. |

@ Arthur
sorry so far I can`t show an example. I am using the function cart or link to a shop. So I believe, it would be easier for the customers, if they could search via topic. Maybe anyone has an Idea, how to realize a search. Maybe it is possible to name the pictures by a topic and build an extern search? |

I dont think most customers are on your site to do shopping, but those who are, dont they already know what they are looking for and where the navigate? I cant imagine an average customer visiting your website and thinking "hmm, I think I wanna do some shopping here", and then "ok, lets start by search ... birds ...".
Dont you think they would just "browse" your gallery if they enjoy it, and then if they do in fact come across anything they really like, they might consider buying? Its not like your site is stock photography, and if I wanted the best options for general topics, it would be more options on a stock photography website. Your gallery is primarily a portfolio that showcases your skills, and I dont see that many visitors will consider it much differently. Just my opinion, and another reason why we want to keep Imagevue simple and clean, and best at what its designed for! _________________ Karl / mjau-mjau ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() www.imagevuex.com www.mjau-mjau.com www.photogallerylinks.com |
