It would be great to be able to choose from thumbnailscroller and being able to have arrows to move the thumbnails.

but by maintaning the thumbnails like they are now in one line. So insted of having the thumbnails move when hovering with mouse you have arrows left and right, and move automatically to next set of thumbs. I hope you understand where I'm going

This is a nice case, but in our case, the owner usually wants the image displayed optimally, and that will not happen as long as thumbnails are taking half of the screen. Imagine this layout with the additional Imagevue interface menus, audioplayer, a horizontal image and a smaller screen.

This would not be integrated directly into Imagevue as is, but it could be something we bake into any entirely new frontend.

But those that have the thumbnailscroller not on autohide could use this. Then when you have a hundred or more photos it goes to quickly when hovering over thumbnailscroller for instance, then this will work better. Or not?
I for instance like to have the thumbnailscroller always visible, so I think it would be nice to have the option to choose from the moveable when hovering and adition to have left and right arrows. Is there no one else interested in this feature?

Personally, I don't use the thumbnailscroller. When I visit galleries, I want to look through the work of the photographer or gallery owner and I don't know what I would be searching for in the thumbnailscroller. Any specific image? If I really want to get an overview of the thumbnails, I go to thumbnails mode ... I don't like it when thumbnailscroller is always visible, because it is distracting and takes focus away from the main image with perhaps its text description.

Even if we did include thumbnails on the side of the image, it would require minimizing the width of the image by 50%, and how would this look on small screens? Imagevue has a lot more interface elements to think about also ... This is why I am saying that this will not be a part of Imagevue X2, because it would require heavy restructuring of how Imagevue works - Instead, it would be a separate frontend altogether.

That's exactly my point of view... I've disabled the thumbnailscroller because it really is distracting and, in my opinion, it clutters my screen...

I think I'll have to agree with both of you It's also too much to have both thumbnail view and thumbnailscroller I'll do this and see if it is not better
