Logo on top of the menu
People are asking often how to put their logo on top of th menu. Here is this little guide. There are some bumps on the road still, but we’re working on it. Hope this helps anyway.

What we have to do to get this?
Get your logo image ready
Here is the template which fits Default Theme which is basically 230x90px image with 30px transparent space at the left.

Save logo to imagevue/themes/default/logo.png
You have to use .png or .gif because those formats support transparency. File must be in the same directory theme is. For now that is the only option.
Set logo to be displayed on background, in top left corner:
Go to Themes (not global settings):
- Theme › Theme you use › Edit
- Style › Background Image

Move menu a little bit lower and remove alpha effects ( otherwise menu will be on top of the image )
I just set everything to 0 for this example.

Remove words “Gallery menu” from language you use
Languages > English:

The trick is to actually add just space won’t work.
And this is it.

Is it possible to add a link to the logo ?
I want to press it and go back to HOME
in 2.7.4 i cant put logo.png in Style › Background Image, there is only select option there ??
how to place the menu 90px below the custom logo?
I am building my website.
I want to place my logo on the top of the menu.
I save my logo.gif to image/iv-includes/themes/default
Then I open the themes edit mode. In the background_image mode , I can only choose within the URL: background.gif or thumb.jpg, but not the logo.jpg (why jpg and not gif?)
What do I wrong.
Can you help me

On reaction to your comment in the forum about the Custom logo on the top of the menu, you mentioned that ” You would then replace your logo image with the SWF in your theme …”;but where is the SWF in the white theme?
Please give us an easy description in the documentation how to place the logo.
Thanks for your help
Wim van Oel.
There is an upload button at the upper right corner in the theme’s editor. It allows you to upload your backgrounds, be it jpg, or swf to the theme’s folder. After you upload a file it will appear in the background dropdowns. http://d.pr/ojkg
Thank you very much; you give me the real solution.
